Dear Oli: I've been looking at this blank blog for a month now, wondering how I should begin. I have experienced many things already, and what feels like nothing. When you're older, you'll begin to understand how you can hold within you what appear to be conflicting perspectives and feelings at the same time. Neither are "right or wrong," but the ability to see and feel things fully will greatly enrich your understanding of yourself and the world!
I hope you and Bec had a great Christmas! I heard it rained quite a lot!
Since, I am in Mexico, I spent Christmas a little differently since I wasn't with you: I went to the beach and swam in a beautiful sea! If you come and visit me and swim in the sea, I think you will understand why I like it so much, and try to do it everyday.
I wanted to tell you a little story: I live on a small street in Tulum Pueblo and there are many people who live very humble lives. There are also many children who run around and play, but they don't have many things to play with.
Since I wasn't in SF with you and Bec for Christmas, I decided to buy a couple of gifts for the two girls across the street. I see them frequently playing together in the yard with their chickens in the dirt and not much else. Oddly, I thought teddy bears might be interesting to them since there aren't any bears in this part of Mexico!
Unfortunately, there are many children here with very little and I couldn't give gifts to everyone, so I gave them to their father to give to them rather than leaving them in their yard for someone else to find. I hope they like them.
I really like it here but I also miss you and Bec very much and I love you!
Give Bec a hug for me and I'll talk with you soon toothless girl!
