I keep choosing Venus and she continually draws me to this shoreline. It's easy to fall in love with the Caribbean: she's warm, gentle and inviting. I fell in love with her the moment I lay eyes on her; the moment I swam in her warm currents.
While immediately breathtaking, Tulum seduces you and evokes deeper yearnings that take some time to unravel and understand. Beguiling and powerful, she draws you in her embrace and will offer many lessons about her mysteries and those that lay within you. Those aren't always easy to understand, or even accept.
One need only draw their boat ashore; be receptive and attentive to anything that might happen, and do something with the lessons she has to offer.
This groggy blog is about what I find
along her shore and within her jungle...
and within myself.
This tale is my attempt at (re) discovering a true love.
"Sing in me, Muse, and through me tell the story of that man skilled in all ways of contending,
the wanderer, harried for years on end, after he plundered the stronghold on the proud height
of Troy. He saw the townlands and learned the minds of many distant men, and weathered
many bitter nights and days in his deep heart at sea, while he fought only to save his life,
to bring his shipmates home.
But not by will nor valor could he save them, for their own recklessness destroyed them ...
they killed and feasted on the cattle of Lord Helios, the Sun, and he who moves all day
through heaven took from their eyes the dawn of their return. Of these adventures,
Muse, daughter of Zeus, tell us in our time, lift the great song again."
